Basketball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Midway saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against the Argyle Eagles, falling 67-43.

When it comes to explaining why Midway lost, don't look at Aryce Thibodeaux. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Thibodeaux is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Brown, who posted six points.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Argyle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Midway will face off against Granbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Argyle, they have already played their next game, a 55-49 win against Chaparral on the 6th.
