Volleyball Recap: Staunton River Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a Battle of the Birds when Staunton River challenged Franklin County on Thursday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

While Staunton River was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-22, 25-17.

Franklin County found their leader in sophomore Laila Randal, who had 13 assists and four digs.

Staunton River's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Franklin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
