Soccer Game Preview: Springfield Southeast vs. Rochester

Springfield Southeast hasn't had much luck against Rochester recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Springfield Southeast has given up an average of 4.9 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Springfield Southeast's offense. They came up short against Lincoln on Thursday, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Rochester earned a 4-2 victory over Jacksonville on Thursday. Rochester haven't had any issues with Jacksonville recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rochester hit Jacksonville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brenden McArdle (2), Nick Pier, and Ahmad Hussein.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-16-2. As for Rochester, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1.

Springfield Southeast might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Rochester in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
