Baseball Game Preview: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Oglethorpe County Patriots

The Rabun County Wildcats will head out to square off against the Oglethorpe County Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rabun County has five straight victories, Oglethorpe County has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Rabun County got the win against Athens Academy by a conclusive 10-2. Considering the Wildcats have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Oglethorpe County fell victim to Providence Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Storm.

Rabun County's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Oglethorpe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-19.

Rabun County beat Oglethorpe County 5-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
