Recap: Indiana Little Indians vs. Southmoreland Scotties
The Indiana Little Indians's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They came out on top against Southmoreland by a score of 57-49. The win was all the more spectacular given Indiana's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Southmoreland is ranked 111th).
Southmoreland lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ty Keffer, who scored 16 points. Keffer has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Noah Felentzer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Indiana's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Southmoreland, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
Indiana will look to defend their home court on Saturday against New Castle at 4:30 p.m. As for Southmoreland, they will head out on the road to square off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
