Softball Recap: Terrell Academy Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Terrell Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the John Milledge Academy Trojans by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Terrell Academy and nudges their season record down to 21-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 18-7 Westfield School (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 66.8% over those games). As for John Milledge Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

Terrell Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Milledge Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-1 loss against Westfield School on the 18th.
