After a string of four wins, St. Johns's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 12-3 to the Joseph City Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 back in March.

St. Johns saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelsey Scarbrough, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

St. Johns' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Joseph City, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

St. Johns wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-4 victory against Holbrook on the 14th. As for Joseph City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Horizon Honors on the 12th.
