Recap: Sherman Indian Braves vs. California Lutheran C-Hawks

After a string of three wins, the Sherman Indian Braves's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Their tough 55-32 loss to California Lutheran might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sherman Indian in their matchups with California Lutheran: they've now lost five in a row.

Leading California Lutheran to victory were Julia Ash and Kiera Schroeder. Ash almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists, while Schroeder scored 21 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Schroeder has scored at least 25% of California Lutheran's points. Brooklyn Pospisil was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six steals.

Sherman Indian's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for California Lutheran, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Sherman Indian will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against California School for the Deaf-Riverside at 4:30 p.m. California School for the Deaf-Riverside comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for California Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hamilton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
