Soccer Game Preview: Calabasas vs. Westlake

Calabasas is 0-8-2 against Westlake since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Calabasas Coyotes are taking a road trip to take on the Westlake Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Calabasas is headed into the matchup having not lost since December 6 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let San Marcos onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday.

Ella Palmer and Hailey Shohet scored all three of Calabasas' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Westlake earned a 3-1 win over Granada Hills Charter back in December of 2024. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Highlanders are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Calabasas, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-1-6.

Calabasas might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Westlake in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Calabasas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
