Basketball Recap: Citrus Valley Blackhawks vs. Beaumont Cougars
Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 75-21 defeat at the hands of the Beaumont Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 86-43 on January 9th.
Amirah Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Beaumont, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Jones continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jasmin Craner was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 15 points.
Citrus Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Beaumont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
