Softball Recap: Limon Comes Up Short

Limon was the 13-11 winner over Holyoke when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Badgers fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.

Bryleigh Fox was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Randi Carson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Jessa Book was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Limon's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Holyoke, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-21.

As of now, neither Limon nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
