Soccer Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Central Catholic and Twelve Bridges squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Central Catholic had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 28th).

Central Catholic's goal came courtesy of Reese Oliveira, who's now up to eight this season.

Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Twelve Bridges, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twelve Bridges, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Lincoln on the 22nd.
