Baseball Recap: Bainbridge's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Bainbridge had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Calhoun Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won four games in a row.

The result came thanks to Parker Landrum's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bainbridge is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Bainbridge's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bowen Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Bainbridge back to even at 13-13. As for Calhoun, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-15.

As of now, neither Bainbridge nor the Yellow Jackets have any future games scheduled.
