Basketball Recap: Bayfront Charter Takes a Loss

Bayfront Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-27 loss at the hands of the O'Farrell Charter Falcons. The Sharks lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 1-0 score last time.

Liona Rusom was the offensive standout of the match as she posted 11 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joniah Cashwell, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Bayfront Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for O'Farrell Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Bayfront Charter has already played their next game (against Monarch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. O'Farrell Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-36 win against The Cambridge School on the 28th.
