Basketball Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Comes Up Short

San Jacinto Valley Academy has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 26.23 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They were beaten by the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors 65-21. The Wolves have struggled against the Conquerors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, San Jacinto Valley Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaahliyah Lacy posted seven points in addition to 12 rebounds and four steals. Lacy is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

San Jacinto Valley Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Desert Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

San Jacinto Valley Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-15 victory against Desert Chapel on the 13th. Desert Christian Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 61-9 win against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School on the 8th.
