Baseball Recap: Lewis Lancers vs. Edison Eagles

Lewis extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-9. They lost 16-1 to the Edison Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on April 7th.

As for Edison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6-1. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

For Edison's part, they got a big performance out of Nathan Roeschlein, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Roeschlein has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Zyler Munoz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lewis will challenge rival Hayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Edison is set to take on their familiar foe Justice at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
