Sweetwater and San Ysidro are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Sweetwater Red Devils will challenge the San Ysidro Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Ysidro took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Sweetwater, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Sweetwater was able to grind out a solid win over Castle Park, taking the game 38-27.

Meanwhile, San Ysidro didn't have quite enough to beat Mar Vista on Friday and fell 36-34. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now lost four in a row.

Sweetwater will need to focus on slowing down Erryn Steward, one of several San Ysidro players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Wittlieff, who had nine points.

Sweetwater's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for San Ysidro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.

Sweetwater strolled past San Ysidro in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 38-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sweetwater since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
