Basketball Recap: Casa Grande Takes a Loss

After flying high against Napa last Saturday, Casa Grande came back down to earth. The Casa Grande Gauchos fell to the Sonoma Valley Dragons 35-29. While losing is never fun, the Gauchos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 963rd, while the Dragons are ranked 345th).

Casa Grande's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Sonoma Valley, their record now sits at 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Casa Grande will head out to challenge Maria Carrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sonoma Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Healdsburg at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
