Softball Recap: Guymon Takes a Loss

Turpin hit Guymon with a six-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 11-2 to the Cardinals. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Guymon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Turpin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guymon will square off against Weatherford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Turpin, they will challenge Boise City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
