Basketball Recap: Bloomsburg Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bloomsburg can now relate to. They took a hard 59-41 fall against the Hughesville Spartans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Spartans are ranked 41st).

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Delaney Zentner, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Zentner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Pistoia, who earned 12 points and three steals.

Bloomsburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Hughesville, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Bloomsburg nor Hughesville have any future games scheduled.
