Baseball Game Preview: Cass Colonels vs. Hiram Hornets

For the second straight game, Cass will face off against Hiram. The Colonels will welcome the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Cass will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Hiram on Tuesday. The Colonels put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 15-9 victory.

For Hiram's part, Josh Tuggle stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run while going 1-for-4. James Strickland was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Cass has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Hiram, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-21.
