Basketball Recap: Del Mar Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Del Mar had won three straight home games and Zoey Hinkle did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Del Mar Dons came out on top against the Gilroy Mustangs by a score of 50-40 thanks in part to Hinkle, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Del Mar's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Georgianna Kargbo, who posted six points along with seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Del Mar is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Gilroy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Mar has already played their next matchup (against Oak Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gilroy has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Independence.
