Football Recap: Chase Richie's Menacing Defense Leads Castle View over Horizon + How To Watch

Castle View gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They took down the Horizon Hawks 21-7. That's more bragging rights for the Sabercats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Castle View can attribute much of their success to Carter Henman, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Castle View proved: they limited Horizon to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Chase Richie stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made five total tackles (3.5 for loss). Castle View's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.1.

Castle View's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Richie was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Richie is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Castle View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Horizon, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Castle View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 23-7 defeat against Douglas County on the 18th. As for Horizon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-0 victory against Boulder on the 19th.
