Baseball Recap: Westinghouse Comes Up Short

Westinghouse extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 11-6 to the Mather Rangers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Mather, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

For Mather's part, Caden Krabill and Roy Beard did most of the damage at the plate: Krabill got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Beard went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Krabill has posted since back in May of 2025. Javier Barriors also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

While Westinghouse had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
