Baseball Recap: McIntosh County Academy Takes a Loss

If McIntosh County Academy was feeling good fresh off their 18-5 takedown of Treutlen last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Jenkins County War Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Buccaneers have struggled against the War Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

McIntosh County Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Jenkins County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-14.

Coming up, McIntosh County Academy will face off against Savannah at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buccaneers are facing the Bluejackets at the right time seeing as the Bluejackets are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Jenkins County, they will challenge Treutlen at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
