Shenandoah and Blue River Valley pushed the score to 14-9 the last time they played Blue River Valley, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Raiders walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Vikings. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Maddux Davis's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Jarrett Helman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Drew Fredenburg, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Shenandoah's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Blue River Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Shenandoah didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Knightstown on the 16th. As for Blue River Valley, they will challenge Anderson Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.93 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
