Ludlow posted their closest win since September 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They skirted past the Belchertown Orioles 3-2. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Orioles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ludlow wouldn't go down easily and took Belchertown into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-12, 21-25, 15-9.

Ludlow's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Belchertown, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
