Baseball Game Preview: Pierce County Bears vs. Crisp County Cougars

The Pierce County Bears will square off against the Crisp County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pierce County's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Crisp County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pierce County and Appling County meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Pierce County fell just short of Appling County by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Cook, falling 16-3.

Pierce County's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Crisp County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
