Softball Recap: Canton Wins Going Away Against Sturgeon

Canton had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Sturgeon on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Sturgeon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will welcome Clark County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.44 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sturgeon, they will take on Glasgow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
