Baseball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside was the 8-5 winner over Flowery Branch when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Eastside lost 9-2 to Flowery Branch on Friday.

Chase Jordan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Eastside's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Flowery Branch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

While Eastside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
