Basketball Recap: Plainview Pirates vs. Elkhorn Valley Falcons
Plainview lost against Elkhorn Valley back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates took a blow against the Falcons, falling 66-26. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Pressley Alexander was Plainview's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Riley Miller held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds.
Elkhorn Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Rutjens led the charge by going 7-for-14 en route to 16 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Kyndal Werner, who shot 83% from the field on her way to 16 points and three steals.
