Soccer Game Preview: Helix vs. La Jolla

The Helix Highlanders will be taking part in a tournament against the La Jolla Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Helix is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against San Dieguito Academy on Monday. Helix took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Dieguito Academy. The loss was the Highlanders' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for La Jolla's offense. They fell 2-0 to Mt. Carmel on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Sundevils are ranked 34th).

La Jolla has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 1-4-1 record this season. As for Helix, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
