Metea Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Naperville Central since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will head out to take on the Redhawks at 5:30 p.m. Metea Valley has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 17.

On Wednesday, Metea Valley came up short against Downers Grove North and fell 2-0.

Metea Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against DeKalb by a score of 2-0. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Barbs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16.

Naperville Central now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Metea Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Metea Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Naperville Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
