Brentwood strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the War Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Brylee Welch, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Cadence English was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Brentwood's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Briarwood Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Brentwood will square off against Lake Oconee Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Briarwood Academy, they will take on Gatewood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gators' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Buccaneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
