Baseball Game Preview: Madison County Red Raiders vs. East Forsyth Broncos

The Madison County Red Raiders will head out to face off against the East Forsyth Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Madison County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Jackson on Thursday. The Red Raiders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Red Devils a 10-0 shutout. The Red Raiders not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 22nd.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth made easy work of Milton on Wednesday and carried off a 7-1 win. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

East Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Madison County, their win bumped their record up to 5-22.

Madison County couldn't quite get it done against East Forsyth when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Red Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
