Baseball Recap: Bartram Trail Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fleming Island last Thursday, Bartram Trail came back down to earth. Bartram Trail came up short against the Buchholz Bobcats on Friday, falling 10-2. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Bartram Trail got a good showing from Croix DiBacco, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, DiBacco didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Luke Labbe was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Bartram Trail's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Buchholz, they pushed their record up to 18-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bartram Trail will face off against Colquitt County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Buchholz, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Osceola at 2:00 p.m.
