Soccer Recap: Animo City of Champions Comes Up Short

Animo City of Champions was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Monday.

Animo City of Champions' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Compton Early College, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Animo City of Champions will take on Environmental Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Environmental Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.4 goals per game this season. Compton Early College has already played their next matchup (against Lifeline Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
