Baseball Game Preview: Loganville Red Devils vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears

The Loganville Red Devils will take on the Cherokee Bluff Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Loganville's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Clarke Central as they made off with an 11-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cherokee Bluff, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Lanier 15-0 on Monday.

Logan Robinson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cherokee Bluff got a massive performance out of Ethan England, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Those five RBI gave England a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bubba Coleman, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Cherokee Bluff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lanier only managed one hit.

Cherokee Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Loganville, their record now sits at 22-5.

Loganville couldn't quite get it done against Cherokee Bluff in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
