Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Valley Cougars vs. Branham Bruins

The Evergreen Valley Cougars will square off against the Branham Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evergreen Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.

Evergreen Valley is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Christopher just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Evergreen Valley might have lost, but man, Aastha Bhagat was a machine: she posted 19 points. That was a full 38.8% of Evergreen Valley's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rayleen Sandhu, who scored 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Branham came up short against Christopher on Tuesday and fell 60-49.

Evergreen Valley's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 16-4. As for Branham, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Evergreen Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Branham in their previous matchup back in January, winning 60-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evergreen Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
