Basketball Recap: Antelope Valley Beats Lancaster for Their Sixth Straight Win

Antelope Valley hadn't done well against Lancaster recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Antelope Valley Antelopes walked away with a 63-50 victory over the Lancaster Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Antelopes sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Antelope Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ariana Soil, who posted 21 points. Soil's evening made it 27 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Niya Price was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Antelope Valley's record now sits at 16-1. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-3.

Antelope Valley and Lancaster should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Antelope Valley (ranked 183rd) will meet Knight (ranked 670th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Antelope Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season. Similarly, Lancaster will challenge Palmdale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday up 681 places (200 vs. 881).
