Football Recap: Martin County West Takes a Loss

Martin County West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 40-8 loss at the hands of the St. James Saints. The Mavericks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Martin County West's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. James, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin County West will challenge United South Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. James, they will square off against Mayer Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Saints 13.3, the Crusaders 8) so any points scored will be well earned.
