Baseball Recap: Central Georgia Arts Takes a Loss

Central Georgia Arts was the 14-3 winner over Rock Springs Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Central Georgia Arts took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Springs Christian Academy on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Central Georgia Arts has lost by exactly three runs.

Anderson Bloodworth was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Bloodworth wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Brooks, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Central Georgia Arts now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Central Georgia Arts didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Windsor Academy on the 24th. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against Skipstone Academy on the 24th.
