Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. Bishop O'Dowd

The Kennedy Titans will face off against the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.

Kennedy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Washington.

Jazell Jweinat and Lily Bella scored all three of Kennedy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Bishop O'Dowd put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Encinal a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Dragons have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four contests. As for Bishop O'Dowd, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0-2.

Kennedy beat Bishop O'Dowd 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2015. Does Kennedy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop O'Dowd turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
