Illini Central came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Mt. Pulaski, but Alyson Murphy wouldn't allow it. The Hilltoppers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cougars on Tuesday for which the team can thank Murphy, who had 25 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Mt. Pulaski easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20.

Mt. Pulaski's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Illini Central, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-25.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pulaski will face off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Illini Central has already played their next matchup (against Edinburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
