Recap: La Sierra Eagles vs. Carter Lions

On Wednesday, La Sierra ended up a good deal behind Carter and lost 40-25. While losing is never fun, La Sierra can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 932nd, while Carter is ranked 317th).

Stephanie Adecer and Eunice Castro certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Adecer scored nine points along with four steals, while Castro scored two points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Adecer hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.

La Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Carter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Sierra will be home for the holidays to greet Canyon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Canyon Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Tuesday. Carter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Summit at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Summit is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
