Central won the last time they faced Southwest EC and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spartans skirted past the Eagles 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

The win didn't come easy: Southwest EC scored at least ten points in every set. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 15-10.

Central's offense was headlined by Brianna Aguiar and Andrea Mejia, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Maryanne Barrett and her 21 assists. Aguiar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Southwest EC's loss came despite strong showings from Kaline Martinez and Kailani Hinshaw. Martinez had 13 digs and three aces, while Hinshaw had ten digs and six kills. Hinshaw is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 21-14. As for Southwest EC, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-19.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Holtville on the 16th. As for Southwest EC, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Imperial on the 16th.
