Softball Recap: Timnath Comes Up Short

If Timnath was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Weld Central on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cubs came up short against the Severance Silver Knights on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The Cubs were not able to make up for their loss to the Silver Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Timnath's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Severance, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1.

Coming up, Timnath will host Lyons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cubs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Severance, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Roosevelt on the 10th.
