Basketball Recap: Johnstown Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Calvary Christian Academy last Tuesday, Johnstown Christian came back down to earth. The Johnstown Christian Bluejays fell to the Ferndale Yellow Jackets 42-37. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Ferndale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deajah Chatman, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Chatman is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Maisen Sechrengost, who posted 11 points along with three steals and three blocks.

Johnstown Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Ferndale, their record now sits at 11-7.

Johnstown Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-17 win against Great Commission on the 31st. As for Ferndale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-25 victory against Belleville Mennonite on the 31st.
