Basketball Recap: Neumann Regional Academy Drops Season-High Score on Midd-West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Neumann Regional Academy). They blew past the Midd-West Mustangs, posting a 71-18 victory. The Golden Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

Neumann Regional Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Niyah Tutler led the charge by dropping a double-double with 26 points and 11 steals. Tutler has become a key player for Neumann Regional Academy: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 7-8 otherwise. Breanna Nixon was another key player, going 12 of 15 on her way to 28 points along with five boards and four steals.

Neumann Regional Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Neumann Regional Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points over those games. As for Midd-West, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Looking ahead, Neumann Regional Academy and Montoursville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Midd-West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
