Volleyball Recap: Ravenna Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Naomi Hervert and Ava Wroblewski

Ravenna lost against Centura last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bluejays came up short against the Centurions, falling 3-0. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Ravenna was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Centura's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 26-24.

Ravenna's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ava Wroblewski, who had 19 digs and one assist, and Naomi Hervert, who had 16 digs and 11 assists.

Centura was led to victory by Belle Taukiuvea and Kennedy Davis. Taukiuvea had three blocks and two aces, while Davis had 13 kills and two blocks. Those three blocks gave Taukiuvea a new career-high.

Ravenna's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-18. As for Centura, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

As of now, neither Ravenna nor the Centurions have any future games scheduled.
